Eventually, he realizes that he needs to put these powers to good use and starts fighting the bad guys and aliens. He's aided by Grandpa Max who is a retired Plumber, an intergalactic peacekeeper, and his cousin Gwen. Gwen has latent magic abilities, which come out when she has a charm from Hex. She is eventually given a spell book by Charmcaster, which allows her to use magic all the time. The name of the series comes from the fact that he only has 10 aliens at first. He often gets frustrated because the Omnitrix changes him into the alien that it thinks he needs, not that the one that he chooses. Like any hero, he has enemies. One is Kevin Ethan Levin, or Kevin 11. Kevin is 11 years old in the original series. He is an Osmoisian, which means that he absorb raw energy, as well as the qualities of other things. At this stage he is narcissistic and insane. Ultimately Kevin 11 turns into a very good pal and ally to Ben, and dates Gwen, Ben's cousin.
